LAT @ Dato' Mohd Nor Bin Khalid


Dato' Mohd Nor Bin Khalid a.k.a Lat is a successful cartoonist starting from 1979 and remains successfully popular until today.


His cartoons was published in local newspaper such as Berita Minggu and New Straits Times which portrays the beautiful life of the multi-cultural Malaysia.


His cartoons are aired in Malaysia, Germany, Canada and the whole Asia. To add to this, he has published many cartoon books which have sold locally and internationally.


During 1988, he was announced as one of the 25th Malaysian people who awarded Eisonhower Exchange Scholarship under Multi-Nation Programme to spark the nationwide understanding, peace and productivity through knowledge and information exchange.



His cartoon brings joys and puts a smile in every Malaysian heart as it is considered as the real portraits of the people in their honest daily lives.






Genius does what it must, and talents does what it can.
Not everybody is gifted in studying academically but many are more artistically and vocationally inclined.
So, if you are talented in arts, DON'T GIVE UP!! DON'T LET ANYBODY TELL YOU ARE WORTHLESS because if LAT can do it, so can you!!

  1. This is a solid proof that even though you are not successful academically, you can still be successful with your talent! Our education system is only academically oriented. Therefore, don't be stress out if you can't do well in school. Just show your talent and be proud of it.

    I remember reading LAT comics in the bookstore when I was younger! I really enjoyed his portrayals of our Malaysian culture. He is truly a good example of success through talent! Students who are not doing so well in schools can be inspired by him to tap their talents. :)
